Research Symposium Overview
All students pursuing the Education and Society MA Certificate are required to present their research at an annual spring symposium. PhD students who would like to get feedback on their research are also invited to participate.

The symposium is an opportunity to present your research, discuss findings, and share what you feel would be most helpful to get feedback on based on your graduation date. For June graduates, you may summarize and/or share your results and discuss any implications for future study. August graduates may share work in progress, including any preliminary analysis or results from pilot studies, and/or an outline of your research design and question.

Breakfast and lunch are provided, and you are welcome to invite guests to your individual session. We will invite your advisors under a separate email.

Symposium Format
Presenters will be assigned to a small group (4-6 students), based on discipline. Each small group will also be assigned a discussant (faculty or instructor), who will manage the overall session and provide feedback on presentations.

There will be two sessions per room, with a break in between. Each presenter has up to 30 minutes of allotted time (15-20 minutes for presentations, 5-10 minutes for Q&A, depending on the number of presenters in the session).
