Background

Haoxuan “Noah” Liu is a PhD student at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. He holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago (2021) and a Bachelor of Management from Sichuan University (2019). His academic interests lie in labor economics and the economics of education, with a focus on early childhood education. Haoxuan previously worked as a Pre-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Chicago, where he gained extensive experience in educational policy and research.

Research

Haoxuan’s research explores the intersection of public policy, education, and economics. He is particularly interested in early childhood education and its effects on long-term educational outcomes. His recent work includes a randomized controlled trial (RCT) studying the impact of boosting parent-child math engagement on preschool children’s math skills, particularly among low-income families.
